Carrizo Plain National Monument
In the early 1990's The Nature Conservancy partnered with the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) and the California Department of Fish and Game to create the Carrizo Plain Natural Area, buying up ranches and beginning a conservation/protection process for the area. I was hired to paint a mural and then to work on graphic designs for the Guy L. Goodwin Education Center. Final exhibits were created by Anacapa Signs in Santa Barbara. National Monument status came in the year 2001.
